Follow the path in order

  1. 01

    Clear Gwent as you enter a region

    Unique cards come from specific players and tournaments. Play new opponents and buy cards before the region’s story advances.

  2. 02

    Finish character quests

    Triss, Yennefer and other major allies have personal routes that can close when the main story moves forward. Complete their available steps before leaving the region.

  3. 03

    Recruit allies before Kaer Morhen

    The Battle of Kaer Morhen rewards earlier preparation. Check the quest log for ally recruitment and resolve it before starting the battle.

  4. 04

    Track contracts and side quests by level

    A quest is most valuable while its level is relevant. Clear orange and green objectives before they become trivial or disappear behind a story checkpoint.

    Keep a checkpoint save

    Manual saves before region transitions and major decisions are the cheapest protection against missable content and unwanted consequences.

03 / Common mistakes

Avoid the expensive reset

A quest marker disappearing does not always mean the quest failed; check the quest log and the related character location.

Gwent card completion can require one-time opponents, tournaments and purchases that are easy to forget.

Do not begin the final act before checking the personal quests you intend to finish.
